After two months, the Novato Planning Division finally uploaded AT&T’s small cell permit applications and the city’s “incompletion” letter responses, likely because we brought it up at this week’s city council meeting and submitted a public records act request . We thank the City for starting to pay attention to this important issue.
Of course, that is not enough. The city needs to act in good faith by notifying immediately all residents, businesses and property owners within 600ft of the proposed wireless facility installations. They could have done it two months ago to give people time to learn about this issue, but the city planning department doesn’t intend to notify people until 10 days before making a decision. That would be in violation of our ordinance as well as acting in bad faith towards the residents of Novato.
Please let the city manager and city council know that you want public notices to be sent out immediately.
